1. Introduction

“Learn, chat and play with the pro’s!” Within the wide range of poker clients, FTP is the home of the professional players. But don’t let that scare you away! Every time you log on to FTP you will be able to see the pro’s play in the highest Cash Games, and while watching them play you will be able to chat with them and learn from their game. Sometimes they even make time to play in a 1$ tournament for example, so every player has the chance to compete with the best around. You will recognize a pro by his nickname which is always displayed in red in the Lobby.

But that’s not all, FTP is not only the place where the pro’s hang out. It’s also the second largest poker room in the world, open to players from all over the world and supplying games in all sort types and stakes.

 

2. Software (9)

FTP software is considered one of the best in the industry. Basically, everything you can expect is there. The lobby is very clearly, you can select Cash Games or Tournaments in any way you like. It’s also possible to hide full tables, only show high, medium or low stake games etc.
A nice feature is the option to choose your own avatar. This avatar will be shown at the table you play on, and you can even select your avatar to have a good, confused or angry mood while playing on the table.
The tables have a nice design, you can choose between 3D view and top view, and you can select 7 different designs as background. Also, the tables are resizable and can be tiled or viewed in cascade mode.

 

3. Player Traffic (9,5)

Full Tilt Poker is the 2nd largest poker room out there. It’s not unusual to see more than 100,000 players online at the same time. One of the main reasons for this is the fact FTP is one of few sites that are open to U.S. players as well as people from other countries all over the world. The player base is extremely diverse. On the lower limit levels you will find tons of great games with good action. On the highest stake levels it’s not strange to find tables with more than 4 famous players at them, like Phil Ivey, Gus Hansen, Patrik Antonius or Mike Matusow. Diversity is the key at FTP, there’s always a game that suits your style and bankroll

 

4. Cash Games (9.5)

Hold’em
FTP offers Fixed, Pot Limit and No Limit Hold’em Games.
The Fixed Games run between $0.05/$0.10 and $2000/$4000 stakes. Yes, we didn’t make a mistake with the numbers there, action really runs up extremely high!  There are 2-handed, 6-handed, 8-handed and 10-handed tables available.
The action on these tables is extremely well, even at $2000/$4000 games are running regularly.
The Pot Limit Hold’em tables run between $0.01/$0.02 and $10/$20. There’s also higher pot limit action on the mixed tables, where there’s being switched between Pot Limit Hold’em and Pot Limit Omaha Hi.
The true No Limit Hold’em grinders will like the ring games at Full Tilt a lot. With stake levels starting at $ 0.01/$0.02 and running up to $500/$1000 there’s plenty of games for everyone and in all forms. Whether you like to play Heads-Up, 6-handed, 8-handed or 10-handed, it’s all to be found in the lobby. With the great player traffic it’s easy to select great games with a lot of mediocre players.

Omaha
Omaha Hi games are offered in Pot Limit only.
These popular Pot Limit Omaha Hi tables are available between $0.01/$0.02 and $500/$1000. Don’t be surprised to see multiple tables of $500/$1000 Omaha running.  Lots of railing fun available there.
Oma Hi/Lo is available in Fixed, Pot Limit and No Limit.
The Fixed Hi/Lo games have tables stakes between $0.05/$0.10 and$2000/$4000. Pot Limit Hi/Lo is available at $0.01/$0.02 up to $200/$400. No Limit Omaha 8 can be played for stakes varying between $0.01/$0.02 and $50/$100.
 
7-Stud
 7 Card Stud is offered in two forms: Stud Hi and Stud Hi/Lo and Razz.
The fixed Stud Hi tables vary between $0.05/$0.10 and $2000/$4000 stakes.
The Hi/Lo games and Razz games are offered for the same stakes.

 

Mixed games
On top of the standard games of Hold’em, Omaha and Stud, Full Tilt has a reputation of great action on mixed cash games. The mixed tables that run are HA (10 rounds of Pot Limit Hold’em and 10 rounds of Pot Limit Omaha), HEROS (Limit Hold’em, Limit Stud Hi/Lo, Limit Razz, Limit Omaha Hi/Lo, Limit Stud Hi, with games changing every 10 hands), HO (Limit Hold’em and Limit Omaha Hi/Lo, games change every 10 hands), HOE (same as HO but Limit Stud Hi/Lo added and HORSE (same as HEROS, different order)

 

5. Tournaments (8.5)

Regular
Full Tilt Poker offers all kinds of tournaments every day, 24/7. Buy-ins vary between 1$ and $25000 so there’s always a game that suits you. The structures of these tournaments are exceptionally well, compared to other big online poker rooms. Ofcourse there’s the option to join turbo tournaments or deep stacked tournaments for special structures. Icons in the tournament lobby show you the type of any tournament so you can pick your favorite one even faster.
Sunday is the big day for tournament players at FTP. Every Sunday FTP hosts the $750K GTD ($200+16), the Sunday Brawl ($240+16), The $200K rebuy ( $200+13), and the Sunday Night HORSE ($200+16).

FullTilt hosts NLHE freerolls everyday as well as free tournaments where you can buy in for frequent player points (FPP).

Satellite
If you like to play satellites to the big online and live tournaments, FullTilt is the place to be. You can qualify for all sorts of buy-ins to the big Sunday and daily tournaments as well as big live events, like the World Series Of Poker (WSOP) in Las Vegas. One table
One table sit and Go Tournaments are offered for Fixed and No Limit Hold’em, Pot Limit Omaha, 7 Card Stud and 5 Card Stud and some mixed games.  All these games run in normal format as well as Double Or Nothing and Triple Or Nothing. The No Limit Hold’em SnG is running for buy-ins between $1.25 and $5700 and is available in all forms.
A unique format at FullTilt is the Matrix Sit and Go’s. Register for this SnG and you will join 4 tournaments at once. You can win prizes for finishing top 2 or 3 in every tournament and also for earning points, by knocking out players and surviving other players.

Heads-Up
The offer in HU SnG is huge. Games run up from $2.15 untill $5600 and are offered in all forms.
